It's Halloween Season, one of our favorite times of the year, and while most Trick 'r Treaters expect free candy, we prefer to deliver free movies!

In partnership with the 22nd Philadelphia Film Festival (October 17th-27th), The Awesome Fest is giving away EVERY DAMN SEAT in the theater for the Philadelphia Premiere of THE SACRAMENT, on Monday, October 21st, 9:00pm at The Ritz East. Even more awesome, Director Ti West (House Of The Devil, The Innkeepers) will be in attendance!

The rules are simple: Show up, get in line, and upon entry say "Trick 'r Treat".

Philadelphia, PA – October 2nd, 2013 – This year marks the 80th anniversary of the drive-in movie theater. To celebrate this distinct slice of Americana, The Awesome Fest is proud to announce the creation of their very own drive-in, presented by Enterprise CarShare, at one of the most unique and beautiful settings that Philadelphia has to offer: Eakins Oval, which resides directly in front of the majestic Philadelphia Museum of Art.

THE WORLD'S END advanced screening with Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, & Nick Frost in attendance!

Join us for this two part event as we celebrate the theatrical release of THE WORLD'S END, the third film in what's bound to be one of the most AWESOME trilogies of all time!

On Wednesday, July 24th at 9pm, we'll be screening SHAUN OF THE DEAD outdoors at EAKIN'S OVAL, directly in front of The Art Museum on the Ben Franklin Parkway. This is a FREE screening!

There will be a THRILLER dance & screening at 8:30, directly before SHAUN OF THE DEAD.

On Tuesday, July 30th, join us for a very special double feature of HOT FUZZ & an advanced screening of THE WORLD'S END with a Q&A to follow with Director Edgar Wright and actors Simon Pegg & Nick Frost!!

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper to attend 25th Anniversary Screening of THEY LIVE!

via The Philadelphia Daily News - Wrestler Rowdy Roddy Piper will be at the 25th anniversary screening of the 1988 cult classic "They Live," courtesy for this summer's Awesome Fest presented by Parx Casino, I've learned exclusively.

The John Carpenter sci-fi flick will screen Sunday, July 21 at the Trocadero. Prices haven't been officially announced yet, but founder and artistic director Josh Goldbloom assured me that there will be various meet-and-greet packages at low prices so wrestling fans can get to chat it up with Piper.
