Sugarbeach Shark Night at SugarHouse Casino! FREE.

On Tuesday, July 3, SugarHouse will host an outdoor showing of the summer movie classic, “Jaws,” on an inflatable movie screen as part of the SugarBeach Shark Night. The screening is presented by The Awesome Fest, a roaming film series dedicated to bringing feature presentations to unusual places. Prior to the showing, Big Daddy Graham Quizzo will host beach trivia from 5—6:30 p.m. Throughout the day, guests are invited to take advantage of Shark Night specials including deals on LandShark lager, $5 chum buckets (steamers) and $3 popcorn crab claws.

The summer sun is shining in America’s birthplace and SugarHouse Casino is giving the city something it has never had in its 236-year history—a beach resort. Philly’s casino will transform its Delaware River property into a summer oasis, complete with beach games, food and live entertainment, Saturday, June 30, through Sunday, July 8, to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday.

“SugarBeach is bringing summer fun to Philly in honor of our nation’s independence,” Wendy Hamilton, general manager of SugarHouse Casino said. “Our beach along the Delaware River is going to be something the city has never seen before, and we can’t wait to unveil it at the end of June.”

Admission to SugarBeach is free for to all guests 21 and over for nine excitement-filled days on SugarHouse’s waterfront.

Complete with more than 100 tons of sand arranged by Penncora Events across a 7,000 square-foot space, SugarBeach will include more than 30 live, Florida palm trees brought in from Florida, food vendors such as The Refinery and Innovative Catering Concepts, outdoor tiki bars and dozens of Adirondack chairs and umbrellas for lounging. It will feature beach-themed games, cuisine, music, contests, activities and prizes from 2—9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 2 p.m.—1 a.m. Friday and Saturdays.
